Job summary

People Serving People Inc. in Minneapolis, MN is seeking a Guest Services Associate (Shelter Support Specialist) for evening shifts to ensure top‑notch guest service in a 24/7 operation.

Responsibilities include greeting guests, processing intake and paperwork, answering calls, and maintaining front desk policies. Requirements: Associate degree in Human Services or 1 year of experience, CPR/First Aid/AED or ability to obtain within 6 months, and strong MS Office skills.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in Human Services or related field or 1 year of direct experience.
• CPR/First Aid/AED certification or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire.
• Strong computer skills and Microsoft Office experience.
• Experience working with people from diverse cultural and socio-economic backgrounds.
• Experience working with families or individuals experiencing homelessness preferred.
• Knowledge of Hennepin County shelter system preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and provide excellent hospitality.
• Process guest intake, voucher renewals, and audit report paperwork.
• Respond to guests' information and necessities.
• Answer telephone and relay messages for guests.
• Follow front desk policies and procedures to provide excellent guest service.
• Stocking and cleaning responsibilities as needed for shift.
