Job summary

People Serving People in Minneapolis seeks a Guest Services Shift Lead to oversee front desk operations, mentor Associates, and ensure a 24/7/365 shelter runs smoothly with compassionate customer service. You will train others, enforce policies, triage guest needs, and coordinate with the Hennepin County Shelter Team, using Microsoft Office, Salesforce, Paylocity and HMIS tools.

Qualifications

• AA or higher education preferred.
• Experience in guest services or front desk operations is a plus.
• Ability to train and mentor staff and maintain documentation.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate proficiency with Microsoft, Salesforce, Paylocity and HMIS (ClientTrack) and train others to perform key functions.
• Maintain familiarity with Guest Services policies and procedures and enforce them consistently.
• Adjudicate and grant reasonable special permissions, triage guest issues, and refer to supervisors when needed.
• Provide quality control for audit, room status reports, and box lunch lists.
• Represent Guest Services when contacted by Hennepin County Shelter Team for room availability information.
• Provide initial training and mentor new Guest Services Associates; advise Coordinators on development.
• Advise Supervisors on performance trends and opportunities to improve department support and efficiency.
• Model integrity, responsibility, accountability, diligence, compassion, professionalism and operational excellence.
