Job summary

FedEx Freight, Inc. is seeking a dock/warehouse attendant to move freight across the dock and load it onto trailers, using forklift and related equipment. You will verify documents, secure freight, and support customers as needed.

Starting pay is $21.16 per hour with a typical range of $21.16–$24.75 per hour. Hours may vary by operational need.

Requirements include a high school diploma (preferred), be at least 18, and prior warehousing or forklift experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent, preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Prior warehousing and/or forklift operations preferred.
• Hostler/yard duties experience preferred.
• Ability to count, perform basic math, and use documentation.

Responsibilities

• Perform freight handling using motorized and manual equipment, including forklift.
• Verify documentation matches freight description (type, weight, hazardous materials).
• Secure freight inside trailers using pallets, straps, and rope.
• Recoup/repair damaged freight as necessary.
• Verify and complete required documentation and reports.
• Assist customers with freight and freight documentation as needed.
• Perform hostling duties if required.
• Comply with laws, regulations, and company policies.
• Perform other duties as required.
