FedEx Freight, Inc. in Northborough, MA is seeking a dock associate to move freight across dock areas to/from trailers and load shipments.

Starting rate is $22.26 per hour. You will operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks, verify documentation, secure loads, and assist customers as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent, preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Prior warehousing, freight handling and/or forklift experience preferred.
• Ability to count and perform basic math, with or without a calculator.
• Basic written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate freight handling equipment including forklift, pallet jack, and hand truck.
• Verify freight documentation matches description (e.g. type, weight, hazardous materials).
• Secure freight inside trailers using pallets, straps, rope.
• Recoup/repair damaged freight when necessary.
• Verify and complete required documentation and reports.
• Assist customers with freight and freight documentation as needed.
• Perform hostling duties if required.
• Comply with laws, regulations and company policies.
• Perform other duties as required.
