FedEx Freight, Inc. in Massachusetts is seeking a Dock Worker to transport freight across dock areas to and from trailers for loading and unloading.

Ideal candidates operate forklift and pallet jacks, verify freight documentation, secure loads, and assist customers with freight paperwork. Starting pay is $22.77 per hour with a 1600–2200 shift, and a comprehensive benefits package is available.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Prior warehousing or forklift experience preferred.
• If hostler/yard mule duties required, experience preferred.
• Ability to count and perform basic math, with or without a calculator.
• Basic written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to lift/carry hand freight of varying weights several times a week, up to 75 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Transport freight across dock area to/from trailers for loading to trailers.
• Operate forklift and pallet jacks to move freight.
• Verify freight documentation matches description (type, weight, hazardous materials).
• Secure freight inside trailers using pallets, straps, or rope.
• Recoup/repair damaged freight when necessary.
• Complete required documentation and reports.
• Assist customers with freight and freight documentation as needed.
• Perform hostling duties if required.
• Comply with laws, regulations, and company policies.
