Job summary

FedEx Freight is seeking a dock worker to safely move freight between trailers and dock areas. You will operate forklifts, pallet jacks and hand trucks to load, secure, and unload freight, while verifying documentation and assisting customers.

Hours are 1700–2100 with a starting pay of $20.16 per hour. The role requires basic math, attention to safety, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, physical environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent, preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Prior warehousing or forklift experience preferred.
• Ability to lift/carry freight and operate basic dock equipment.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Transport freight across dock area to/from trailers.
• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks and hand trucks as needed.
• Verify freight documentation and secure freight inside trailers.
• Recoup/repair damaged freight when necessary.
• Complete required documentation and assist customers with freight needs.
• Perform hostling duties if required.
