Job summary

FedEx Freight is seeking a dock worker to transport freight across the dock area to and from trailers to enable loading and unloading.

You will operate forklift, pallet jack and hand truck; verify freight documents; secure items inside trailers; assist customers; and comply with safety rules and company policies. This is an on-site role with pay starting at $21.16 per hour and a range of $21.16–$24.75.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent, preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Warehouse or freight handling experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Move freight using forklift, pallet jack, or hand truck.
• Verify freight documents match description and weight.
• Secure freight inside trailers with straps or ropes.
• Recoup and repair damaged freight as needed.
• Complete required reports and documentation.
• Assist customers with freight needs and documentation.
• Perform hostling duties if required.
• Follow laws, regulations and company policies.
• Perform other duties as required.
