Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 1 year experience in surgical scheduling or medical office coordination.
• Experience with Epic scheduling modules (OpTime) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily and long-term OR schedules using Epic to optimize block time.
• Schedule procedures based on surgeon availability, case complexity, and equipment.
• Monitor and adjust schedules; communicate changes to surgeons, SPD, vendors, and staff.
• Verify case details, CPT codes, times, and documentation with surgeons offices.
• Confirm vendor attendance, loaner trays, implants, and special equipment needs.
• Document schedule updates in Epic and tracking systems; participate in daily huddle.
