Qualifications

• High School diploma, GED, or 6 months of work experience.
• Experience with individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities is preferred.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English; strong communication and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Attends work regularly and adheres to shift schedules.
• Provide direct care and support, including habilitation, behavior management, and training.
• Document participation, progress, and incidents for effective communication with staff.
• Administer first aid/CPR during emergencies and report significant changes in individuals’ conditions.
• Assist with medication administration under supervision and ensure safety during transport.
• Lead or mentor new DSPs as part of the team and support shift leadership when required.
