Job summary

Health & Human Services Comm in El Paso is hiring a Direct Support Profession III (DSP III) to join the State Supported Living Center team. You will provide direct care, support daily living activities, observe and report on resident conditions, and assist with training and behavior programs.

The role requires a valid Texas driver’s license, CPR/First Aid certification preferred, and flexibility for mornings, evenings, nights, and weekends.

Qualifications

• High School diploma, GED, or 6 months of work experience.
• Six (6) months of experience working with people who have mental health/ID disabilities.
• Experience as a Direct Support Professional (DSP).
• Experience implementing behavior programs for persons with IDD.
• Experience writing reports.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care and support to individuals and document progress.
• Assist with daily living activities and behavior programs.
• Administer first aid and CPR when needed.
• Mentor and train new DSPs as part of the team; serve as shift/team lead when not on duty.
• Support transportation and ensure safety in the home environment.
