Job summary

The Defense Sector at Leidos is seeking a cleared Wide Area Network (WAN) Engineer to engineer, operate, and sustain long-haul transport and routing infrastructure across DoD networks. This on-site role at Langley AFB requires the 4:00 PM–12:00 AM shift, ensuring availability and performance of critical circuits worldwide.

Responsibilities include implementing routing policies, performing circuit migrations, applying DISA STIGs, and coordinating maintenance with DISA/NOC teams.

Qualifications

• Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.
• 4+ years WAN engineering/DoD experience.
• DoD 8570/8140 IAT II cert (Security+ CE) plus CCNP/JNCIP-SP preferred.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree as stated in the requirements.
• Strong routing and security policy skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain BGP routing across enterprise WAN with policy enforcement.
• Perform circuit installations, migrations, and site cutovers with rollback plans.
• Develop routing standards and topology documentation.
• Apply DISA STIGs and support RMF artifacts and ATO/POA&M.
• Coordinate with DISA, NOC/SOC, and providers for maintenance and outages.
• Monitor WAN health with SolarWinds and NetFlow; analyze trends for leadership.
• Manage Type 1 encryptors and key management for secure connectivity.
