Job summary

Leidos in the Defense Sector seeks a TS/SCI-cleared Network Engineer to support installation, configuration, and day-to-day management of enterprise infrastructure at Langley AFB. The role focuses on SSR/128 Technology SD-WAN, routing, switching, and security in a DoD context.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 4+ years of experience (or Master's with 2+ years).
• Active and current DoD TS/SCI clearance.
• DoD 8570/8140 IAT Level II - Security+ CE or higher.
• Solid understanding of OSI model, TCP/IP, subnetting, VLANs, BGP/OSPF, WAN techs.
• LAN switching experience on Juniper EX Series or Cisco Catalyst (VLANs, STP, trunking).
• Ability to work in a DoD security-conscious, team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist configuring and managing routers, switches, SSR appliances.
• Support routing policy design and traffic steering on SSR/128 Tech platforms.
• LAN switching administration: VLANs, STP, trunking on Juniper/Cisco gear.
• Assist with routing protocols (OSPF, BGP) across WAN and data centers.
• Monitor network health and escalate anomalies with root-cause analysis.
• Configure firewall rules, ACLs, IPsec VPNs, and security controls.
• Upgrade software/firmware and manage change procedures.
• Maintain network diagrams, inventories, and SOPs.
• Coordinate with senior engineers, admins, and security to resolve incidents.
• Participate in on-call rotation and troubleshooting during outages.
