Job summary

The Defense Sector at Leidos seeks a cleared WAN Engineer (2nd Shift) to engineer, operate, and sustain long-haul transport and routing across DoD networks. On-site work at Langley AFB with core hours 4:00 PM–12:00 AM, supporting enterprise WAN availability and security.

Responsibilities include maintaining BGP routes, circuit migrations, network documentation, DISA STIG compliance, and RMF/IAVA-related tasks. Travel to CONUS/OCONUS may be required.

Qualifications

  • Requires US Citizen with active Top Secret clearance and ability to obtain SCI.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s with relevant enterprise WAN experience in DoD environment.
  • DoD 8570/8140 IAT II certification preferred (Security+ CE or equivalent).
  • Hands-on experience with BGP, OSFP/EIGRP, MPLS VPNs, QoS, IPv4/IPv6 dual‑stack.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain enterprise WAN routing architecture and BGP policies.
  • Execute circuit installations, migrations, and site cutovers with rollback plans.
  • Develop routing policy standards and topologies with documentation.
  • Apply DISA STIGs, RMF, IAVA remediation, and support POA&M closures.
  • Coordinate maintenance with DISA/NOC/SOC and transport providers.
  • Monitor WAN health using SolarWinds, NetFlow, SNMP; produce capacity analyses.
  • Manage Type 1 encryptors and key management for secure enclave connectivity.
