Job summary

Leidos is seeking a cleared Senior WAN Engineer to design, operate, and sustain long-haul transport and routing across DoD networks. Responsibilities include BGP routing, circuit migrations, and fault escalation in a mission-critical setting.

You will develop routing standards, document topology, and ensure QoS for C2, VTC, and VoIP. Requires TS clearance, 8+ years in enterprise WAN, and DoD experience with DISA/RMF processes.

Qualifications

• Clearance: TS with ability to obtain SCI.
• 8+ years enterprise WAN engineering experience in DoD environments.
• DoD 8570/8140 IAT Level II or higher certification.
• Expert-level BGP configuration and policy tooling.
• Experience with DISA/DISN service delivery and RMF processes.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain BGP routing across the enterprise WAN.
• Serve as escalation authority for WAN faults and circuit issues.
• Coordinate installations, migrations, and site cutovers with rollback plans.
• Develop routing policies, IP space plans, and topology docs.
• Configure QoS/TE for command and control, VTC, and VoIP traffic.
• Apply DISA STIGs and support RMF artifacts and POA&M closure.
• Coordinate with DISA, NOC/SOC, providers, and site staff for maintenance.
• Monitor WAN health with SolarWinds, NetFlow, SNMP; provide capacity trends.
• Manage Type 1 encryptor configurations and key management.
• Mentor junior engineers and represent WAN at reviews.
