Job summary

Dessert Holdings in Aurora, CO is seeking a Production Mixer for 1st shift to support the world’s best desserts. You will assemble ingredients, document batch details, and ensure materials are stored per formulas while maintaining cleanliness and safety standards.

The role requires at least 6 months in food manufacturing (bakery preferred), ability to read and follow instructions in English, and flexibility to work the 3:00 PM–3:00 AM schedule. Training and growth opportunities are provided.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 6 months of experience in a Food Manufacturing environment; bakery experience preferred.
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Ability to communicate in English and write correspondence.
• Ability to present information in one-on-one and small group situations to leads, supervisors and R&D.
• Flexibility to work various hours and shifts.

Responsibilities

• Accumulate all pre-approved ingredients from production bins.
• Document materials on each mix with shift total.
• Record batch tickets, lot codes, and waste logs.
• Ensure materials stored per formula and build sheets.
• Monitor temperatures of materials as required.
• Keep mixing bowls and carts free from excess material and scrapped between mixes.
• Maintain housekeeping in mixing area and proper disposal of mixing materials.
• Ensure mixes are free of foreign objects.
• Report unsanitary conditions of equipment prior to use.
• Maintain sanitary conditions of utensils, tables and floor.
• Return utensils checked out daily.
• Follow safe lifting procedures and request assistance when needed.
• Identify and report defective equipment.
• Escalate issues causing overuse of materials.
• Cover materials when not in use to prevent contamination.
• Follow safety procedures when turning on mixer equipment.
• Inform supervisor/QA of quality problems with ingredients or finished mix.
• Understand food allergen program and store products properly.
• Follow approved formula unless approved by R&D approval.
• Comply with quality standards, policies, and procedures.
• Participate in Operations team.
• Familiar with SQF, HACCP, and GMP practices.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
