Job summary

Terros Health in Phoenix, AZ is hiring Crisis Specialists to join the Crisis Mobile Team on 30- or 40-hour shifts, delivering on-site crisis intervention and stabilization services.

The role focuses on seriously mentally ill individuals, children and families, with opportunities for new grads to gain training and Arizona license-eligible pathways. Evening and overnight shifts are available, with differential pay for evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• GED/High school diploma with a minimum of 1.5 years of behavioral health experience, or an associate’s degree in the behavioral health field, or a bachelor’s degree (not in the field) and 1 year of behavioral health experience, or a bachelor’s degree in the behavioral health field (e.g. Psychology, Social Work, Counseling) or a Masters degree in a behavioral health field.
• One year of experience practicing in one of the licenses listed.

Responsibilities

• Respond on-site to crisis calls that cannot be resolved telephonically.
• Assess risk and engage with clients to develop and follow-up plans.
• Coordinate referrals to other agencies or long-term counseling as needed.
• Work with clients, families, schools, first responders and others.
• Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability to change.
