Job summary

Marvin is seeking an Evening Controls Technician to troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues on production equipment, including PLC controls, in our Kansas City area facility. This role trains on day shift for up to 2 months before transitioning to evenings.

Key responsibilities include PLC programming with Allen Bradley RS Logix, documenting repairs in the EAM system, and collaborating with CEPG on improvements.

Qualifications

• 2 years of experience in a closely related role is required.
• Associate’s degree in a technical-related field strongly preferred.
• Forklift and aerial platform licenses are required.
• Experience with Enterprise Asset Management software and MS Office proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Observe equipment to detect hazards and determine service or replacement needs.
• Proficient in ladder logic programming with Allen Bradley RS Logix platforms.
• Document repairs and preventive maintenance in the EAM workorder system.
• Troubleshoot electrical, electronic, pneumatic, and hydraulic components.
• Configure servo drives and set up basic servo controls and VFDs.
• Collaborate with CEPG on machine improvements and PLC support across the plant.
