Job summary

Marvin in Kansas City, KS is seeking a Weekend Controls Technician to troubleshoot electrical, mechanical and PLC problems on production equipment and to drive reliability improvements. The role begins with day shift training for up to two months, then moves to the evening shift.

Work schedule is Friday to Sunday, 6:00am–6:00pm. You will use Allen-Bradley PLCs, support EAM documentation, and collaborate with CEPG to enhance machine performance.

Qualifications

• 2 years experience in a closely related role is required.
• Associate's degree in a technical-related field is strongly preferred.
• Must be able to obtain forklift and aerial platform licenses.
• Experience with Enterprise Asset Management software and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Observes functioning of installed equipment to detect hazards and the need for service or replacement of components.
• Proficiently use ladder logic with Allen Bradley RS Logix 500/5000 for PLC programming changes.
• Document repairs and preventative maintenance in the work order system (EAM).
• Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
• Set up servo drives and adjust open/closed loop controls.
• Provide PLC support across the plant and collaborate with CEPG on improvements.
• Concisely document set-points and parameters for equipment.
