Job summary

Marvin is seeking an Evening Controls Technician at our Kansas City facility to handle advanced electrical, mechanical, and PLC troubleshooting for production equipment. You will analyze equipment, perform repairs, and implement PLC programming changes to improve reliability.

The role trains on day shift for up to two months before moving to evening shifts, with a 4:00pm–2:00am schedule Monday through Thursday and occasional Friday OT.

Qualifications

• 2 years of related experience in a production/maintenance role.
• Associate's degree in a technical field preferred.
• Forklift and aerial lift licenses required or obtainable.
• Experience with Enterprise Asset Management software and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Observe equipment to detect hazards and maintenance needs.
• Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and PLC problems and repair as needed.
• Document repairs and preventive maintenance in the work order system.
• Use ladder logic with Allen-Bradley PLCs (RS Logix 500/5000).
• Configure servo controls, VFDs, and motor operations; support plant PLCs.
