Job summary

Marvin is seeking an Evening Controls Technician to troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues on production machines, including PLC controls. The role involves analyzing equipment, performing repairs, and implementing PLC programming changes to improve production reliability.

Qualifications

• 2+ years experience in a closely related role.
• Associate’s degree in a technical field strongly preferred.
• Must obtain forklift and aerial platform licenses.
• Experience with Enterprise Asset Management software and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Observe and troubleshoot installed equipment to detect hazards and determine service needs.
• Proficient in ladder logic programming with Allen-Bradley RSLogix 500/5000.
• Document repairs and preventive maintenance in the plant maintenance system (EAM).
• Trace problems using electrical, electronic, pneumatic, and hydraulic components.
• Discuss performance issues and improvement ideas with pertinent technical staff.
• Maintain backups of programs for electrical devices.
• Evaluate system performance of newly installed equipment under operating conditions.
• Set up servo controls and VFD operations.
• Troubleshoot servo motors, DC motors, and induction motors.
• Provide PLC-support across the plant with maintenance teams.
• Concisely document set-points and parameters.
