Job summary

Marvin is seeking an Evening Controls Technician at our Kansas City, KS facility. You will troubleshoot electrical and mechanical systems on production machinery, including PLC controls, and implement repairs to improve reliability.

The role trains on day shift for up to 2 months before moving to the evening shift. We offer health insurance on day one, PTO, holidays, a well-being account, and a $5,000 sign-on bonus as part of a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• 2-years experience in a closely related role is required.
• Associate’s degree in a technical-related field is strongly preferred.
• Must be able to obtain forklift and aerial platform licenses.
• Enterprise Asset Management software experience and MS Office proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Observes functioning of installed equipment to detect hazards and need for service, repair or replacement of electrical and mechanical components.
• Proficiently use ladder logic programming with Allen Bradley RS Logix 500 and 5000.
• Document repairs and preventive maintenance in the work order system (EAM).
• Troubleshoot problems using electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic components.
• Set up servo controls and adjust variable frequency drive parameters.
