Job summary

Marvin seeks an Evening Controls Technician to troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and PLC systems on production equipment at our Kansas City facility. You will analyze equipment, perform repairs, and implement PLC-related programming changes to improve reliability.

We offer a day-one health plan, paid time off, a wellness account, and a $5,000 sign-on bonus. Training on day shift for up to 2 months precedes evening shift assignment.

Qualifications

• 2 years of experience in a closely related role.
• Associate’s degree in a technical-related field preferred.
• Forklift and aerial platform licenses required.
• Proficiency with Enterprise Asset Management software and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Observe functioning of installed equipment to detect hazards, problems and the need for service, repair and/or replacement of electrical and mechanical components.
• Use ladder logic programming with Allen-Bradley RSLogix 500/5000.
• Document repairs and preventative maintenance in the plant using the workorder system (EAM).
• Trace problems using electrical, electronic, pneumatic and hydraulic components.
• Back up programs from electrical devices and verify system performance under operating conditions.
• Assist with troubleshooting electrical problems and provide PLC support across the plant.
