Job summary

The Alden Network seeks a part-time CNA to support the nursing department under the Director of Nursing Services. The role involves direct resident care, adherence to federal/state guidelines, and maintaining quality standards in daily operations.

Must be CNA certified with CPR credentials or ability to obtain within two weeks. Weekend and holiday availability required; hours are 6pm–10pm.

Qualifications

• Must be CNA certified.
• Must possess CPR certification or become certified within two weeks of employment.
• Demonstrate interest and/or knowledge in therapy, rehabilitation, restorative, ADL, splint, and ROM program.
• Must be able to read, write, and speak English.
• Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when warranted.
• Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with customers, family, visitors, personnel, agencies and public.
• Must possess leadership and supervisory ability and willingness to work harmoniously with personnel.
• Must be personable, enthusiastic, and resourceful.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and directing day-to-day nursing department functions.
• Collaborate with CNAs to ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
• Develop written care plans for customers.
• Conduct daily rounds to ensure duties and procedures are followed.
• Support orientation, coaching and mentoring of CNAs.
• Provide feedback on CNA performance and participate in evaluations.
• Attend department/committee meetings and assist with training programs.
