Job summary

The Alden Network is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to provide daily nursing care to residents in accordance with applicable standards and facility policies. The role is focused on delivering high-quality care under the supervision of nursing leadership.

Qualified applicants have completed a nursing arts course, hold a high school diploma or GED, and possess or will obtain CPR certification. Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work as part of a team are essential.

Qualifications

• Completion of a nursing arts course evidenced by a diploma or certificate and successful completion of the Nursing Assistant competency evaluation.
• Must be at least 16 years old, with good moral character, honest and trustworthy.
• Provide evidence of employment or occupation and residence for two years prior to employment.
• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• Must possess current CPR certificate or obtain within two weeks of employment.
• Demonstrates interest in caring for the ill, disabled, and elderly; able to interact with residents, family, visitors, and staff.

Responsibilities

• Follow nursing procedures and facility policies; maintain dress code.
• Assist with activities of daily living for residents as directed by nursing staff.
• Develop and follow written plans of care for residents.
• Attend care plan conferences and resident/family councils when invited.
• Report concerns or changes to the Administrator or Nursing staff.
• Daily rounds to ensure residents are safe and comfortable.
• Maintain a warm, supportive environment throughout the department.
• Assist in orientation for new staff and provide support to the team.
• Recommend equipment and supplies to the Director of Nursing.
• Maintain records of resident intake and output and monitor meals.
