Job summary

Alden Group Homes is seeking a dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant to support the Director of Nursing Services in planning, organizing, and directing day-to-day nursing operations. You will provide direct resident care as part of a cohesive nursing team, aiming to maintain the highest quality of care at all times.

Qualifications

• Must have current CNA certification.
• Must possess CPR certification or become certified within two weeks of employment.
• Must be able to read, write, and speak English clearly.
• Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when warranted.
• Must be able to work well with residents, families, staff and the public.

Responsibilities

• Review the department's Policy & Procedure Manual and job descriptions with the Director of Nursing at least annually.
• Collaborate with CNAs to ensure compliance with policies and proper dress code.
• Assist in developing written plans of care for each resident.
• Attend and participate in care plan conferences when indicated.
• Conduct daily rounds to ensure nursing staff perform required duties and proper procedures are followed.
• Provide orientation, coaching and mentoring to CNAs to ensure their success.
• Monitor absenteeism and report issues to the Director.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
