Job summary

The Alden Network is hiring a Certified Nursing Assistant for the 3PM-11PM shift. Provide residents with daily nursing care following federal, state, and local standards within Alden policies.

The role supports the care team under supervision of nursing leadership and promotes quality, compassionate care. Responsibilities include assisting with activities of daily living, participating in care planning, and maintaining accurate records.

Qualifications

• Nursing arts course from an accredited program with verification.
• Be at least 16 years old, and of good character.
• Provide evidence of prior employment/residence for two years
• High school diploma or GED required
• Current CPR certificate or obtain within two weeks
• Desire to care for ill/disabled/elderly and communicate clearly in English
• Able to read, write, and speak English clearly
• Able to make independent decisions when needed
• Willingness to work harmoniously with staff
• Personable and enthusiastic attitude

Responsibilities

• Provide daily nursing care to residents following standards and policies.
• Follow nursing procedures and dress code; assist in activities of daily living.
• Participate in care planning, council meetings, and quality assurance activities.
• Record intake/outtake and monitor vital signs as required.
• Assist with bed making, housekeeping coordination, and inventory management.
• Respond to call lights and assist with patient comfort and safety.
• Support care transitions, including transfers and discharges.
• Maintain compassionate, patient-centered care at all times.
