Job summary

The Alden Network is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to provide daily nursing care to residents in accordance with federal, state, and local standards, policies, and directions from nursing leadership. AM and PM shifts are available to ensure continuous, quality care.

Responsibilities include assisting with activities of daily living, following care plans, and reporting changes to supervisors. Applicants must complete a nursing arts program, hold a diploma or certificate, and have CPR

Qualifications

• Completed nursing arts course in an accredited program, evidenced by diploma/certificate.
• Must be at least 16 years old and of good moral character.
• Provide evidence of prior employment/occupation and two years residence history.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Current CPR certificate or obtain within two weeks of employment.
• Able to read, write and speak English clearly.
• Ability to make independent decisions when needed.
• Willingness to work harmoniously with other staff.
• Personable, enthusiastic, and trustworthy.

Responsibilities

• Follow nursing procedures and policies with dress code adherence.
• Assist residents with daily living activities for a defined number of residents.
• Develop and follow care plans for customers with staff nurse input.
• Attend care plan conferences and participate in relevant councils.
• Report concerns and changes to the Administrator/Nurse.
• Monitor residents' safety, comfort, and overall condition.
• Maintain warmth and a calm environment across the department.
• Participate in in-service education and orientation programs.
• Assist in equipment and supply needs planning for the department.
• Record intake/output and monitor meals as instructed.
• Maintain bed linens, rooms, and housekeeping coordination.
• Respond promptly to call lights and telephone calls.
• Perform routine vital signs as needed.
• Report any skin changes to the nurse and update care plans.
• Support residents with rehabilitation and self-care efforts.
• Assist with care of dying and deceased residents.
