Job summary

Sanford Health is seeking a Nursing Assistant to provide resident-centered care in a long-term care setting. The role includes assistance with daily living activities, measurements of vital signs, and collaboration with the nursing team under RN supervision. Evening shifts, 37 hours weekly, with a $3,500 sign-on bonus.

The Nursing Assistant will support meals, mobility, and psychosocial needs, while adhering to infection prevention and PPE protocols and maintaining accurate documentation.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or GED preferred, but not required.
• Minimum age of 16.
• Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred.
• CNA certification with the State Board of Nursing, or state certified CNA within four months of date into the position.
• CNA training and certification provided by facility.
• Completes yearly department competency testing and continuing education credits.
• Maintains required certifications; may be registered with UAP in applicable states.
• Possibility of Sanford Category II Driver role with driving requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming and meals.
• Record vital signs and assist with transfers, mobility and ROM.
• Provide psychosocial support and maintain a positive dining experience.
• Document resident interactions and report changes to the charge nurse.
• Provide housekeeping and laundry support to keep living areas clean.
• Follow infection prevention and PPE policies as part of the nursing team.
