Job summary

Sanford Health, a major health system, is seeking a Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide patient-centered care in a long-term care setting during the evening shift. The role focuses on daily living support, vital signs, and collaborating with RNs to ensure safety and comfort.

You will help with transfers, meals, and mobility while adhering to infection control policies and documentation requirements. This position is part-time with evening hours and 14 hours weekly.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or GED preferred, but not required.
• Minimum age of 16.
• Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred.
• CNA certification with the State Board of Nursing, or enrolled in training to obtain certification within four months.
• Satisfactory annual competency testing and continuing education credits.
• Vehicle driving may be required where applicable, with valid license.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with daily living activities and basic health care needs.
• Record vital signs and document care according to the care plan.
• Assist with transfers, repositioning, and mobility using correct techniques.
• Support meals, dining, hydration and nutrition for residents.
• Communicate changes in resident condition to the charge nurse.
• Follow infection prevention and PPE policies.
• Participate in wellness and recreational programs and committees as needed.
