Job summary

Sanford Health is seeking a Nursing Assistant to provide resident-centered care in long-term care, under RN supervision. The role involves daily living assistance, vital signs, mobility support and documentation of care activities.

Requirements include CNA certification and high school diploma or equivalent; 16+ years old. A $1,000 bonus is available for eligible employees. Evening shifts with 32 hours weekly are offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred but not required.
• Minimum age 16.
• Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred.
• CNA certification with the State Board of Nursing required or in process within 4 months.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily living activities and essential care.
• Support transferring, repositioning and mobility with proper techniques.
• Assist with meals and hydration, and ensure dining experience is positive.
• Support providers and nursing staff with procedures as needed.
• Document resident interactions and changes in condition.
• Communicate care concerns to the charge nurse.
• Collect non-invasive samples and vital signs as required.
• Provide housekeeping and laundry support for residents.
• Encourage participation in wellness and recreational programs.
