Job summary

Sanford Health is seeking a Nursing Assistant to provide resident-centered care in a long-term care setting during the evening shift. You will assist with daily living activities, vital signs, and documentation under RN supervision, while following infection control and safety policies.

Responsibilities include mobility assistance, meal support, and participation in wellness programs; certification as a CNA is required or in progress with facility support.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred, but not required.
• Minimum age of 16.
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification with the State Board of Nursing, or enrollment in a CNA program to obtain certification within four months.
• CNA training and certification provided by the facility.
• Annual competency testing and continuing education requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance.
• Assist transfers, range of motion, and mobility with proper techniques.
• Take and record vital signs, assist with meals, and monitor resident condition.
• Document resident interactions and communicate changes to the charge nurse.
• Follow infection prevention policies and PPE usage; support wellness activities.
