Job summary

UT Southwestern Medical Center is seeking a Clinical Staff Pharmacist for the evening shift (2:00pm – 10:30pm) with every third weekend requirement. The role involves reviewing orders, providing drug information, and ensuring formulary compliance in a high-volume clinical setting.

The successful candidate will hold a BS in science or PharmD and be eligible for Texas licensure. A BLS and ACLS certification within specified timelines are required, along with strong English communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree - BS or PharmD required.
• 1 year of pharmacy experience; English proficiency.
• Eligible for Texas Board of Pharmacy licensure; ACPE IV sterilization certification; BLS; Advanced Cardiac Life Support within 180 days.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily pharmacy duties in accordance with policies and regulations.
• Review orders for appropriateness, interactions, and safety; document interventions.
• Manage pharmacy staff, coordinate with IV lab, and ensure formulary compliance.
• Communicate drug information to clinicians and educate patients and families.
• Participate in clinical programs and quality improvement initiatives.
