Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Cardiac Sonographer to join the Cardiovascular Diagnostics Lab at Palos Heights. The role performs advanced echocardiography including Doppler and transesophageal studies, with ARDMS/CCI credentials preferred. You will support QA, ICAEL accreditation, and collaborate with physicians to ensure high-quality imaging.

Dayshift positions, 32 hours per week, with 7:00am-3:30pm or 8:00am-4:30pm schedules. Competitive pay and extensive benefits provided.

Qualifications

• Advanced training in echocardiography with an accredited program.
• Registration in RDCS-AE or equivalent and CCI RCS acceptable.
• 2+ years experience in cardiovascular sonography preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced cardiac ultrasound procedures (M-mode, 2-D, Doppler, Color Flow).
• Assist in catheterization and EP labs with echocardiographic support.
• Prepare patients and obtain relevant history for diagnostic studies.
• Perform transesophageal studies with supervision and sterilize equipment.
• Communicate findings to staff and record lab statistics.
• Ensure QA, protocols, and ICAEL standards are met.
