Job summary

Advocate Health in Lakeland, FL is seeking a Part-time Cardiac Sonographer to support the Echocardiography Lab. The role rotates between clinic and hospital settings with day shifts and on-call rotations for nights, weekends and holidays.

Qualifications include RDCS/CCI or ARDMS within 6–12 months, BLS, and completion of an accredited Sonography program. No prior experience required; strong technical and patient-care skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Knowledge and ability to apply complex sonographic principles, instrumentation and techniques.
• Knowledge of cardiac anatomy and physiology.
• Excellent interpersonal and patient service skills.
• Intermediate computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Performs cardiac ultrasound procedures such as M-mode, 2-D, Doppler and Color Flow Doppler.
• Assists in Catheterization/Electrophysiology labs with echocardiography studies.
• Identifies and defines cardiac abnormalities and extends the scope of examination.
