Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a part-time ultrasound technologist to perform general, vascular, and/or cardiac studies. You will review patient records, obtain orders, and ensure accurate imaging while maintaining patient safety and comfort.

You will document procedures and communicate findings to physicians, with ARDMS certification pathways within 3–6 months. The role requires an accredited sonography program, ability to adapt to department needs, and flexibility for day/evening shifts; pays

Qualifications

• Certified knowledge of general and vascular sonography.
• Ability to differentiate normal vs. pathologic findings.
• Familiar with RIS and billing code documentation.

Responsibilities

• Operate ultrasound equipment for general, vascular and/or cardiac exams.
• Obtain clinical information from records and orders to ensure exam accuracy.
• Position patients and select transducers for precise imaging.
• Ensure patient safety, comfort, and privacy during procedures.
• Document findings and communicate with physicians.
