Job summary

600 Advocate Health, Inc. is seeking a part-time Cardiac Sonographer to perform routine and emergency echocardiograms across locations, including portable studies, with on-call coverage as needed.

This role requires ARRT/ARDMS certification, CPR/BLS, and ability to work weekends/holidays; compensation ranges from $35.50 to $53.25 per hour and includes opportunities for career development. High school diploma or GED required, associate degree preferred, plus completion of a cardiac ultrasound

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; associate degree preferred.
• Completion of a cardiac ultrasound training program preferred.
• Valid sonography credentials (ARRT(S), RDMS, RDCS) required or within one year of hire.
• CPR/BLS certification required; ACS/RCS certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and emergency echocardiograms (2D/3D, Doppler, stress, TEE) as requested.
• Record quality information and follow protocols for imaging procedures.
• Explain procedures to patients and families; provide care across locations.
• Operate and maintain echocardiography equipment; handle on-call coverage as scheduled.
• Prepare preliminary reports for Cardiologist review; participate in QA activities.
• Instruct students and staff; attend echo lab meetings and training.

Education

High school diploma or GED

Associate's degree preferred

Cardiac ultrasound training program preferred

ARRT(S), RDMS, RDCS certification

CPR/BLS Certification Required

ACS and/or RCS through CCI preferred
