Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a skilled Cardiac Sonographer to perform advanced echocardiography, including M-mode, 2-D, Doppler and Color Flow, and to assist in complex procedures in the lab.

The role requires RDCS-AE or CCI RCS certification, 2+ years of cardiovascular sonography experience, and strong patient-focused care. You will collaborate with cardiology to ensure quality imaging and accurate interpretation for optimal patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Advanced knowledge of echocardiography principles and techniques.
• Proficiency in transesophageal and congenital sonography.
• Strong understanding of cardiac anatomy and physiology.
• Excellent interpersonal and patient service skills.
• Intermediate computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Performs advanced cardiac ultrasound procedures and measurements for accurate results.
• Identifies and defines cardiac abnormalities and correlates results with anatomy and function.
• Prepares patients and gathers clinical history to tailor imaging techniques.
• Assists in transesophageal studies with cardiologist and sterilizes probe.
• Communicates clinical findings to staff and maintains lab records and equipment.
• Serves as a resource on equipment, techniques, and studies to optimize patient care.
