Job summary

Endeavor Health's Patient Care Technician role in Glenview is based in the Cardiac Post Procedural Care Unit at Glenbrook Hospital. You will support RNs and LPNs with patient care tasks to ensure comfort and safety for patients on the unit.

Responsibilities include patient and visitor interactions, hourly rounding, safe handling and ambulation, basic nursing care, admissions/discharges/transfers, and documenting vital signs and other care activities. Evening shift with per diem arrangement.

Qualifications

• Eligible to work in the US.
• CNA training course preferred.
• Completion of at least one nursing clinical rotation in medical or surgical nursing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Interact with patients and visitors, answer call lights, answer phones, assist visitors.
• Perform hourly rounding on all assigned patients.
• Learn patient safe handling and assist in ambulation and transfers under nurse direction.
• Provide basic nursing care: bathing, grooming, oral care, feeding, bedpan use, positioning.
• Assist with admissions, discharges, transfers, and room setup; transport patients as needed.
• Complete and document patient care activities including ADLs, vital signs, weights, intake/output, and glucose testing.
