Job summary

Endeavor Health in Glenview, IL is seeking a Patient Care Technician to join the Cardiovascular Medical Surgical Care Unit on the night shift. This full-time role (36 hours per week) involves patient care tasks under RN/LPN supervision, focusing on safety, comfort and timely communication.

The PCT will perform ADLs, vital signs, elevate safety with proper patient handling, assist with admissions/discharges, and support the nursing team with unit duties.

Qualifications

• Eligible to work in the US.
• CNA training course completion preferred.
• At least one nursing clinical rotation in medical/surgical nursing preferred.
• Current BLS certification required.
• No prior experience required.

Responsibilities

• Interact with patients and visitors, answer call lights and phones, and perform hourly rounding.
• Assist in safe patient handling, ambulation, and repositioning under RN/LPN supervision.
• Provide basic nursing care for ADLs under supervision and maintain safety policies.
• Assist with admissions, discharges and transfers and orient patients to their room.
• Complete care activities (vital signs, intake/output) and document procedures per policy.
• Support department tasks, restock equipment, and relay messages as needed.
