Insomnia Cookies in San Francisco is seeking a Bakery Operations Manager to lead a fast-paced bakery, build a strong team, and own the results. You will hire, coach, and develop Shift Leaders, ensure delicious cookies, and deliver a great guest experience.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of management or leadership experience in fast-paced environments.
• Availability to work a bakery schedule including late shifts (Thu–Sun).
• Hands-on, player-coach leadership style.
• Track record of hiring, coaching, developing, and retaining great teams.
• Natural sense of hospitality and commitment to guest experience.
• Strong business acumen and ability to turn goals into action.
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Comfort with restaurant/retail technology and systems.
• Ability to obtain required food safety certifications.
• Ability to perform essential functions with or without accommodations.

Responsibilities

• Own day-to-day operation of bakery, ensuring shifts are staffed, prepared, and set up for success.
• Maintain high standards for cookie quality, speed, accuracy, cleanliness, food safety, and bakery execution.
• Own scheduling and labor execution, balancing team needs with business needs.
• Manage ordering, inventory accuracy, product rotation, shrink, and bakery controls.
• Maintain strong operational routines and address gaps quickly when standards aren’t met.
• Lead guest experience with hospitality and a welcoming environment.
