Guidehouse is seeking an Hospital Admissions Representative in California to obtain demographic and financial information, verify insurance benefits, and assign correct medical records for accurate billing.

The role includes night shifts, 3 weekends per month, and rotating holidays, with schedule flexibility based on census. A high school diploma and 0-2 years of healthcare or customer service experience are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 0-2 years in medical or heavy customer service with data entry and insurance knowledge.
• BLS certification from American Heart Association or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire.
• Ability to complete AVADE training within 30 days from start date.

Responsibilities

• Obtain and verify demographic and financial information from patients and sources.
• Obtain required signatures on consents and insurance forms.
• Enter data and document registrations; obtain pre-certifications or authorizations.
• Notify patients and staff of insurance coverage issues and co-pays if applicable.
• Review orders for completeness and ensure all information is listed; follow safety procedures.
