Job summary

Ingersoll Rand is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer in Frederica, DE to support EVA/IVA spacesuit manufacturing operations and associated product lifecycles. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
• 3+ years of engineering experience in design, manufacturing, integration, testing, production, or sustainment.
• U.S. Person export control eligibility required (citizenship, national status, or equivalent).

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering support for EVA/IVA spacesuit manufacturing operations to maintain OTIF delivery objectives.
• Collect, analyze, and document environmental, mechanical, electrical, and functional test data for verification and qualification.
• Discipline nonconforming hardware per requirements and quality standards.
• Drive manufacturing efficiency and throughput through process improvements and tooling enhancements.
• Collaborate with design teams to apply DFM principles in new products.
• Lead CAPA investigations to improve reliability and performance.
• Maintain configuration-controlled engineering documents and work instructions.
• Support refurbishment and production implementation for EVA spacesuit hardware.
• Lead obsolescence mitigation and risk reduction initiatives.
• Support capital equipment, tooling, and automation investments and continuous improvements.
