Job summary

Rivian is seeking a Service Production Supervisor in Maryland to lead the service center’s daily operations. You will direct vehicle flow, coach technicians, and ensure parts, tools, and information are available for uninterrupted performance.

Qualifications

5+ years of leadership experience in a high-volume automotive service environment.
High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent preferred.
Deep technical acumen across modern vehicle systems (high voltage, electrical, mechanical, infotainment).
Proven experience with lean manufacturing or workflow optimization in a service or production setting.
Strong proficiency with digital tools including DMS, repair order tracking, and diagnostic software.

Actively manage team performance, providing regular feedback, conducting performance reviews, and maintaining a strong understanding of each team member's strengths and development areas.
Champion Rivian culture by fostering an inclusive environment where every team member feels valued, motivated, and empowered.
Identify and nurture talent, creating clear development paths and providing hands-on training to elevate the team's technical capabilities.
Act as the team's primary advocate, ensuring their needs are met, their voices are heard, and their obstacles are removed.
Lead by example, supporting any role or task necessary to ensure team success and service excellence.
On-site cross-team collaboration (DMO/VO/Sales) and Vendor Relationship Management (Amazon/DSP Accounts).
Communication: participate in huddles and enable transparency on performance indicators.
Directly oversee service workflows and technician development, including the RIV EXCEL process and accountability cascades.
Own the daily production rhythm of the shop, from vehicle intake to final quality check, maximizing throughput and efficiency.
Dynamically prioritize and assign workload matching tasks to skill sets and shop capacity.
Coordinate with Parts, Service Advisors, and other teams to eliminate bottlenecks before they occur.
Uphold a first principles approach to problem-solving and implement workflow improvements.
Rigorously monitor repair quality and cycle time, ensuring Rivian’s standards and timely customer return.
Analyze KPIs to drive operational improvements and ensure a safe, organized workshop.
Escalate complex issues and ensure proper documentation of work orders.
Champion the voice of the customer throughout the service process.
