Job summary

Rivian seeks an NPI Technical Program Manager to drive new vehicle part implementation into the Service Supply Chain. This role requires solid program management skills, strong technical capabilities, and cross-functional collaboration with design engineers to develop the Service BOM and determine service levels for new vehicles.

You will partner with engineering, purchasing, and logistics to ensure timely part introductions, manage obsolescence, forecast demand, and enable supply continuity

Qualifications

• 3+ years in Automotive, Tier 1, OEM, or technical field (vehicle repair a plus).
• Bachelor's degree (Masters preferred) in Industrial/Mechanical/Electrical/Materials Engineering or related field.
• CAD/Catia/Enovia/PLM experience.
• Experience analyzing design changes (vehicle repair/aftermarket a plus).
• Experience managing complex Bills of Materials (Service BOM a plus).
• Knowledge of MRP/ERP with focus on PLM, BOM, and procure-to-pay; SAP a plus.
• Excellent project management.
• Strong collaborator, with willingness to drive change.
• Strong analytical and structured problem-solving capabilities for decision-making.
• Experience launching strategic process redesign initiatives with cross-functional teams.
• Process design experience with ability to document and transform complex processes.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Engineering to develop the Service BOM for vehicles and determine serviceable parts for global service network.
• Go-to-Market, new part introduction and program launch responsibilities (service level to service center launch).
• Own End of Life parts analysis to mitigate obsolescence and forecast accuracy; align on commercial and warehousing terms.
• Maintain Service BOM Master data with high accuracy to ensure supply chain success.
• Analyze design changes to determine supersession and compatibility for parts.
• Support exception management reporting, serviceability escalations, and proactive monitoring of new part introductions.
• Collaborate with purchasing, demand planning, supply chain, and engineering to understand demand drivers.
• Drive first principles approach to move sourcing, service levels, and forecasting forward.
• Develop best-in-class service operations leveraging Rivian's platform and new technologies.
• Seek out new innovations and present strategies to improve all areas of work.
