Job summary

Rivian in Utah is seeking a hands-on Field Service Technician to support vehicle repairs across service centers and remote sites. This role requires teamwork, flexibility, and the ability to travel to production plants or customer locations as needed.

You will diagnose, repair, install, and test Rivian EV components, follow official repair procedures, and document all work thoroughly. A background in automotive shop work is preferred, with EV experience a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Proficient with hand and power tools.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Valid driver’s license with clean record, 3–5 year window.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks.
• Proficient with Windows or Mac computers.
• Fluent in reading and speaking English.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, install, and inspect vehicles at service centers or in the field.
• Explain Rivian product line and EV framework.
• Follow repair procedures safely and efficiently.
• Conduct road tests to verify repairs.
• Manage parts operations: ordering, receiving, shipping, inventory.
• Document all work and technical notes for internal/external use.
• Collaborate with team and communicate professionally with customers.
• Stay current with required training.
