Job summary

Rivian is seeking an emerging to mid-level Technician to grow technical acumen while delivering exceptional customer experiences. Based mainly at a local service center, you will support EV repairs, inspections, and field service, with potential remote work, travel for mobile service, or plant support as needed.

You will work under senior technicians and leadership, developing skills in diagnostics, tools, and maintenance in a fast-paced environment that values innovation and adventure.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or recognized equivalency preferred.
• Minimum age of 21 years old.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to drive a non-commercial truck and trailer is preferred.
• 40-hour workweek with potential shifts on weekends/holidays/ovent-based needs.
• Willingness to travel to regional locations or production facilities.
• Proficient with laptops/computers in Windows or Mac, and with work order systems.
• Eagerness to learn, strong organizational skills, time management, and attention to detail.
• Physical ability to sit/stand/bend/reach and lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Perform or assist with vehicle diagnosis, repairs, installations, and inspections at service center, mobile route, or remote locations.
• Learn product lines, EV framework, tools, and accessories under mentorship.
• Conduct road tests to verify repair quality and safety.
• Assist with parts operations, inventory tracking, and expenses.
• Maintain detailed technical notes and documentation for repairs.
• Interact with customers, families, third-party affiliates, and suppliers professionally.
• Identify process improvements and participate in service campaigns and training.
