Job summary

Rivian is seeking an emerging to mid-level Technician to grow technical skills while delivering outstanding customer experiences. Under mentorship you will support EV repairs, inspections, and field service, with responsibilities across service centers, mobile routes, and potential plant support.

Based mainly at a local service center, the role may involve remote work, travel for mobile service, and evolving business needs. Strong communication and a passion for innovation are essential.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited automotive repair school/program is highly preferred.
• 0-3 years of hands-on experience in an automotive shop or technical environment; open to recent graduates.
• Basic exposure to EV/hybrid frameworks, or experience working in fast-paced start-up environments is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Vehicle service & repair: diagnose, repair, install, and inspect across service center, mobile route, or remote location.
• Provide technical guidance & learning under mentorship of senior technicians.
• Follow procedures and safety guidelines to ensure quality and safety.
• Conduct road tests to verify repair quality and safety.
• Assist with parts operations: ordering, receiving, inventory, and work orders.
• Maintain detailed technical notes and repair documents for internal/external use.
• Interact professionally with customers, families, and partners at facilities or events.
• Identify process improvements and participate in service campaigns and continuous improvement.
