Job summary

Rivian is seeking a hands-on Field Service Technician to support vehicle repairs, with the possibility of traveling to production sites and customer locations. The role requires teamwork, adaptability, and strong technical aptitude across EV systems.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED, be at least 21, hold a valid driver’s license, and be able to lift up to 50 lbs. This is a full-time, field-driven position with variable shifts and travel opportunities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required or preferred.
• Proficient with hand tools and power tools.
• Able to read and speak fluent English.
• Must be 21+ with a valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Ability to operate laptops/computers in Windows or Mac environments.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physical tasks as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform vehicle diagnosis, repairs, installations, and inspections at service centers or in the field.
• Identify Rivian products, EV framework, tools and accessories.
• Follow Rivian repair procedures with safety and quality in mind.
• Conduct road tests to verify repair quality.
• Manage parts operations: ordering, receiving, shipping and inventory.
• Document work and technical notes for internal/external use.
• Collaborate with team and communicate professionally with customers.
• Stay current with technical skills and required training.
