Job summary

Rivian Automotive seeks a junior technician to support EV repairs, inspections, and field service. You will work under senior technicians and leaders while delivering excellent customer experiences in a dynamic service environment.

The role primarily operates at a local service center with potential remote work, mobile service, and travel as needed. A strong desire to learn and communicate clearly is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 0–3 years hands-on experience in automotive shop or technical environment.
• Graduation from automotive repair school/program highly preferred.
• Basic exposure to EV/hybrid frameworks is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, install, and Inspect vehicles at service center, on mobile routes, or remote locations.
• Learn product line, EV framework, tools, and accessories under mentorship.
• Conduct road tests post-repair to verify quality and safety.
• Assist with parts operations including ordering, receiving, and inventory tracking.
• Maintain detailed technical notes for completed repairs.
• Interact professionally with customers, families, and suppliers at facilities or events.
