Job summary

Rivian is seeking emerging to mid-level Technicians to grow technical skills while delivering excellent customer experiences. You will work under senior technicians to support EV repairs, inspections, and field service, with potential remote work and travel for mobile service.

Based mainly at a local service center, you’ll thrive in a fast-paced, outdoor-loving team. The role emphasizes mentorship, hands-on learning, and professional growth in a dynamic startup environment with opportunities

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum age 21 or older.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
• Ability to drive a non-commercial truck and trailer preferred.
• 40-hour workweek with possible shifts including weekends/holidays.
• Travel to regional locations or production facilities as needed.
• Proficient with laptops/computers in Windows or Mac environments and basic work order systems.
• Eagerness to learn, strong organization, and attention to detail.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, install, and inspect vehicles at service center, mobile route, or remote location.
• Learn EV framework, tools, and product line under mentorship from senior technicians.
• Follow procedures and safety guidelines to maintain quality.
• Conduct road tests to verify repair quality and safety.
• Assist with parts operations: ordering, receiving, shipping, inventory and reporting.
• Maintain detailed technical notes for all repairs.
• Interact professionally with customers, families, suppliers and service staff.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and participate in service campaigns.
